Really, it’s about which funders don’t, because it seems most fund Cali. Strategic, BFS, 1st Merchant, National, Credibly are some. As far as 2nd and 3rds, I’d assume the great majority do.
Ironically, Cali only prohibits unlicensed brokers from brokering true APR loans. And there are ways around that by simply referring those without brokering the transaction. You can refer deals and get paid commission by “lenders” but you’re prohibited from gathering documents and providing guidance on “loans”.
