For those that process - How do you protect against chargebacks for ACH's/debits?
All I've been told since looking for a Payment Processor is that if a merchant disputes a charge, you're screwed.
As an ISO, we need to start charging merchants for false applications/bank statements/double funding/etc. to protect ourselves. We get more BS applications than we can handle these days.
Our idea is to have a signed ACH Authorization Form, Drivers License and Voided Check.
But how do we protect ourselves when a chargeback is executed? Do these items help, or is it a straight loss no matter what?
