Without knowing each companies individual sweet spots and underwriting guidelines, this list is not that helpful.

that just means the broker is going to have to actually do the work and hop on the phone and find out what type of products the lender offers.

Exactly. And a few of those companies have serious issues. Referrals and introductions from people you trust is even a better idea.

This is why you request underwriting guidelines and the niche of each funder

You must know your funder to use them effectively or your just playing Russian roulette and the funder will terminate the ISOs Agreement

I was a FINRA registered investment banker before becoming a lender/factor at Seacoast. I still maintain my data base of investors/lenders. It contains private equity funds, venture capital funds, family offices, mezzanine funds, alternative lenders/funders, etc. It is sorted by sector, size, location, and has recent portfolio company names. I also maintain a list of all my most of my competitors in the same manner. The list is over 1500 institutions deep and grows on a regular basis. When I was working an investment banking transaction I would populate a road-map using this list to keep track of deals. It is and was a ton of work, but it has to be done.

It is refreshing to get a call from an investment banker or loan advisor that has an actionable deal with all the information needed for review before you get on the phone or meet with the client. It speeds up the process!

You mean, instead of having a broker say "my client wants a $2M facility. Does 3 months bank statements work?"

Yes... but you have to sign up with them to find out. HINT: If the sweet spots all look the same... something isn't right
