    Yes.

And in the past I've seen a lot of them go out in handcuffs. They have to have all their ducks in order which 98% will never have.

When I was a partner in the mortgage banking biz we used to get pitched by personal debt settlement companies at least 3-4 times a year. Of course they wanted us to monetize our turndowns which makes sense but not the way they wanted us to do it. My partner stood up in the middle of a presentation and said "I already developed a fail proof credit repair/debt settlement program that works 100% of the time and it's absolutely free. It's called PAY YOUR F***ING BILLS!". Of course the whole room erupted and the presenter could never get back on track.

I've been solicited by a handful of the new breed for the cash space. I always mess with them. I'm like "You know we fund our own stuff right? So you want us to settle our own debts, lose money, so you can get paid? Does that make any sense to you because it seems like the second stupidest thing I've heard today with the first being your company's name on caller ID". Then I let them know we're owned by a lawyer and he would love to discuss how you plan on preying on our book and costing us money. That ends things pretty quick.

From what I've encountered, they are mostly MCA salespeople who could never hack it in this industry.
