Experiences Syndicating
Hi All,
I would like to know if anyone can share their experiences on syndication through any of the funders they have brokered deals with. Best/worst, fees/commissions, and payouts. If you feel anything else is relevant feel free to add that in as well. Also interested to know if anyone allows just syndication purely as an investment.

So when you are syndicating do you get paid commision and have an option to syndicate? For example lets say the buy rate is a 1.24 and you put 8 pts to make it a 1.32 sell rate, will you get 16 pts if you syndicate half the deal or 20 pts?

No it means you can participate on both sides. You can make a commission off the spread between buy and sell rates, and you can make money off the money you participate with which would be the buy rate as long as the merchant pays, less any management fees.

No. If you upsell by 10 points, you make 10 points. At that point, lets say you want to syndicate 20%. You would send a wire for the 20% of the funding amount, plus 20% of the commission going to you, plus a management fee, if the company asks.
So lets say you get an offer of $100k, 1.25 buy rate. You upsell by 10 points, so you can make $10k. Then you want to syndicate 20%, or $20k. You would send a wire for $20k, plus 20% of the commission, which would be $2k, plus a management fee of lets say 3% of the amount you are syndicating. So in total amount you would be sending is would be $22,600, for an estimated return of $27,000.
