Multi-Unit Grocery Store financing?
Hey Team,
I have a multi-unit grocery store, with annual income of $8MM to $10MM. They're looking for $750K to $1.5MM capital financing, over 48-60 months via Corporate loans or LOC.
They have 1 existing cash-advance loan, no NSF,s liens, excellent credit score, no bankruptcies, charge-offs etc, etc.
Can anyone recommend lenders for this type of deal?
Many thanks for your suggestions.

Hi Red Dragon,
Where is the Company located? If it is a Florida Company, I might be able to get my Bank Parent to look. This is a good size Company. If the Owners and Company are clean, they should have no problem getting traditional financing.....of course lenders would need to know more.

Thanks Funder Mark.
I have contacts at both local & regional banks -but I've been told that they are 'pulling away' from the Grocery Store sector and consider it 'high risk'

Red Dragon,
Whether or not the Client has Senior Debt (a bank loan or similar) in front of the 1 Cash Advance- will drive where the file should be placed.
Is the Client profitable?
How much inventory do they carry?
How high is the Accounts Payable? Any vital suppliers past 30 days?
All the other information (no NSF's, good FICO, no BK's etc.) is fine- but the real information on the balance sheet is what will drive the file.
Touch base should you want assistance..

when you get deals like this that are a little out of your league(because they want 1 million over 60 months) , You are much better off going thru bob shaw or richard gerard both on this site .
good luck

Thanks for your response Richard.
They own the properties outright without any senior debt (as far as I know).
The business is 40 years old, profitable, - no major outstanding debt.
Only debt they have is a Funding Circle loan
I've already been told by brokers that the problem is that local banks now consider grocery chains as a high-rish sector due to shrinking margins.

Red Dragon,
There are a few things that can be done for this client based on the information provided- and the fact that they are a Grocery Chain will not be a challenge at all.. Feel free to give me a call tomorrow to discuss..

This really is a good SBA file. Why aren't they seeking a SBA enhancement which would greatly reduce lender risk?
