    Debt Buyer's are tough. As a SIC code, they are stones throw away from a Collection Agency. What type of debt are they trying to buy?

    They are worse than collectors Robert. Even if you are looking at an unsecured loan you hope the company has the ability to generate the revenue to pay you back.
    Buying bad loans by definition is hoping your purchaser is MUCH better than the original collector as these loans represent the dredges of what might have been a decent portfolio.
