That is a very crowded space, you can sign up with integrity payment systems as an iso and you'll receive a small commission for the sign up and a SMALL percentage of their monthly fees - but honestly i wouldn't touch that space, merchants change processors like you change your underwear because some sales guy comes in the door claiming they can " SAVE THEM MONEY" on processing... and there goes your SMALL % of the monthly fees - the only guys making money in this space is someone who bought a book of business or the ones that started like 7 years ago - The Merchant processing ISO field is FLOODED !!!!!

That biz is a tough nut to crack. Not knowing your practice's specifics, I'd bet that you could add a lot more value to the broker/ISOs swimming in these waters than they could add to you. Contact a few, give them your value prop, and see what happens.

Agree, very crowded. However, we offer ISOs an 80% split on gross revenue. Someone with a vertical or existing book of relationships (mca guys) can build a very valuable asset by leveraging those relationships. That asset, aka your processing portfolio, can then be leveraged, sold, borrowed against, etc. Yes, we do offer buyout options for your portfolio. The reason to consider processing is for the equity it builds, IMO. For example, a small 500 merchant portfolio yields $25K-$30K per month in residuals paid to the ISO. A 500 merchant book can be built in 1.5 - 2 years. The value on that portfolio would be approximately $750,000 if sold or you could borrow up to $150,000 against it. If you factor in the residuals earned while building the portfolio up to the sale of it, the ISO put $450K per year in the bank just for calling people they already work with.
