is principal even a thing anymore?

things have been a bit slow so just asked around to some lenders about early renewals. this guy has 2 strong positions from A-B paper lenders that have been renewed once each.

the 2nd position is 25% paid. the 2p lender came right back to us saying they're ready and willing to refi them.

this industry is bubblicious. glad i'm not an investor.

Did the merchant take out the max $ amount they were approved for with the 2nd position offer initially or they opted for a lower than approved amount?
I would understand why the funder would do it if it was the latter

OR...the merchan tonly took 25% of what they were approved for the first time around, which left plenty of space to refi and renew at any time

Confirm commission w/ lender. I know a couple A/B funders offering programs w/ little-to-no net requirements (even on renewals), reduced commission in some cases though.
