Is On Deck Not Doing Split Funding Anymore?

I can't imagine they are cutting themselves short on a recollect method many merchants prefer. But the approvals I've gotten recently offer no Split arrangement even though the merchant would qualify for one.

In any case, the ACH options are prime.

I don't believe they ever split. What they used to do was set up lock box on processing and take a fixed daily out of the lock box

That sounds right. Why is that, knowing how much an inconvenience that is to the merchant and structure of the deal - rather than just attracting more deals from agents who can get a residual?

They started a split arrangement about 2 years ago with Integrity but they quickly moved away from that model. They are sticking to their core competency, ACH loans, and they can execute better than anyone else. Nothing wrong with that.

It sounds like they went in that direction to Approve more files that had shaky bank statements cash flow but what they prob learned was that lockbox doesn't help poor cash flow merchants either. And if they were entertaining split that goes away from their model of fixed payments and fixed terms. Split mirrors too much of an MCA product and that doesn't seem to be what they want to market to public.

I think OnDeck has a good model, but I remember when I was still selling deals I found it damn near impossible to get a file that fit their box AND made it through underwriting without pulling teeth. I actually gave up because I became so frustrated.
