    Public Company Taking an MCA

Anyone ever heard of a public company getting an MCA? If so, who does it and what is the process (in a nutshell).

    Thanks.

From what I understand, you need authorization from the board for the CEO, CFO or whoever it is to sign on for financial decisions.

Yes and interestingly enough info about the MCA transaction typically end up in the company quarterly earnings reports.

And rightfully so. If a publicly traded company is taking funding from sources like an MCA Id like to know, not that its decidedly negative, but Id like to understand what advantages they see in doing so.

Corporate resolution that the one signing has authorization on behalf of the company

I always appreciate looking at financials of a company and see they list several MCA companies in their expenses/liabilities

Actually could be a big positive for bridge financing for companies that rely on regular but delayed payments from insurance, municipal contracts, builders, and those waiting on the traditional funding process to run its course. Assuming of course the numbers make sense and the funding is vital to getting business done.

Agreed. Id just like to understand exactly that, why do they need it and what good will come of the (more) expensive money

It's simple, you need an operating agreement that allows an Exec to take on debt for the company under his name, notarized.

I will fund them, I've done it multiple times. Let me know if you're interested in letting us have a look!

That's because the owner of TVT specializes in taking companies public and has been doing it for years so he has contacts in that regard.

We have funded a public company (cant release name ) and stock has actually done very well. Believe it or not many micro-cap (between 50-300M in market capitalization ) borrow capital at 20% plus give away shares to the lender for the transaction --So a straight up MCA may be better then current structures many public companies rely on.

I was really hoping this thread would be about someone trying to give Lending Club an MCA.

If they have real estate collateral, WBL can fund them.
