If socialism is the answer what happened to the USSR and now Venezuela? I think the Bernie Sanders supporters should get off their parent's couches, put down the bong and get a job!

Donald Trump Vows To Help Businesses By Scrapping Regulations;
Johnathon that's a great idea........do you know any scocialists?
Bernie's a democratic socialist, as am I.
an unfortunate confluence has confused you. I understand since most of my Republican friends suffer from the same malady, jumping to the wrong conclusions.

In my opinion, a socialist is a socialist, just as a capitalist is a capitalist, and a communist is a communist. A socialist generally wants the total balance of power/control to be within the hands of the population "majority" rather than in the hands of the powerful "minority", mainly that of business executives. A capitalist generally wants the total balance of power/control to be with the individual, whereas a communist wants the total power/control to be centralized with the government.
The issue is that socialism and communism (while they aren't the same thing) are honestly not that far apart, because some type of centralized government or regulatory authority ends up in total power/control eventually. But the issue with TRUE capitalism is that true capitalism would have far too many people flat out sleeping on the streets.
The US has operated (thus far) more as a mixed economy rather than a true capitalist, socialist, or communist country. That balance has worked and should remain the framework going forward. But when you have a straight socialist running for President, that could eventually start to tip the country into more of a socialist nation which has failed time and time again when other nations have tried it.
