What it really is, to be honest,is one of our in-house platforms that can be used by any funder in house to do really competitive deals.

For some reason, I have a feeling this merchant is a fake. Sends in statements and a contract from Highspeed for 75k. I send it out, responses are: BK in dismissal, she has one day where a cash advance pulled 3 times in one day, missing activity for the last week of march(says she was using her saving account to make payments.) She had an answer for everything like if it was planned or done before. Anyone have some pointers on fake merchants and how to avoid them? This has only happened to me once before, last year merchant submitted fake statements but we caught it in time.

Try originating deals that have not had a MCA or try a new lead source thats not UCC's. Ask specific questions to not only learn their business model but see if they are full of ****.
Still, the best thing you can do is be AWARE and when you have a merchant with excuses for everything usually its BS.
