    I have a client that's looking for a cash advance in order to purchase equipment needed for expansion.

    Credit: TransUnion 789, Experian 761, Equifax 686
    NSFs: None

    Client provided me with 3 months business bank statements

    Jan bank statement: Deposits: $20,834-Average Balance: 3,149
    Feb bank statement: Deposits: $33,514-Average Balance: 5,370
    Mar bank statment: Deposits: $48,735-Average Balance: 21,630

    When he 1st sent everything to me I told him I have a equipment financing program and he insisted on a cash advance.

    Just wondering, why would anyone insist on a cash advance v. equipment lease? He can get 5x the term and 1/3 of the rate, the full depreciation on the equipment, and monthly payments. Makes no sense.

    It makes great sense, hes just not educated on how equipment financing works. But when he insisted on getting a cash advance right before I would have explained how they work, I stopped. If he wants a cash advance, a cash advance is what he'll get!

    I would show him both options side-by-side and let him choose. The last thing you want is a competitor who shows him a lease product that is far superior to an advance.

    I agree with all statements here -- while we'd love a shot at the deal, the lease would be the option that makes the most sense financially (would definitely be the cheaper than even the lowest cost cash advance). But if he insists on a cash advance or loan, we should be able to be aggressive on price
