Does anyone use a marketing automation software like Pardot or Marketo? Are you happy with it? Who would you recommend?

Used both (still use one). Both have their own pros/cons.

Few tips:
You need a full-time marketing manager to manage it
High-level marketing manager for Marketo, Mid-level marketing manager for Pardot
Marketo offers awesome customer support - for free. Pardot will not give you any support unless you pull your credit card out.
Marketo is expensive (30k+- yearly), Pardot much cheaper
You need a big email database - and a lot of content (regardless of the software you choose)
