Has anyone ever heard of this lender? A good friend of mine had some issues with this company. Any information would be helpful....

AFN has been around since the 70's. Not quite
but they're a legitimate, experienced shop. Specializing in the larger more complex deals. If your just opening your shop in 2016...good luck to you and I'd use them for that, especially if you are syndicating.
There are a few places I'd tell you to avoid, you can pm me. Not looking to get into a public bashing against anyone.
