Trump or cruz
Who would be a better candidate for our industry? at first thought most would say trump but after looking into his past bankruptcies they always came after the Lenders allowed him to over-leverage and then drive him into bankruptcy!!! think about it the BEST negotiator (as he liked to call himself) could not save his reputation from the Crafty Lenders who had No mercy to work out a GREEEEAT deal WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM NOT MAKING GREAT DEAL FOR HIMSELF?!...So the Jury is still out how he would view Alternative lenders ..Cruz however may allow committees to take the lead on the future of alternative lending??. I still am certain with republicans in office the future is BRIGHT!
If Bernie wins i will be buying 10 bikes and renting them to tourists at the beach!!Last edited by mcaguru; 03-15-2016 at 11:10 AM.

I would prefer to keep the same team on board, the people who've kept interest rates low to benefit their donors, the folks who've thrown 80B a month into the stock market as a backdoor corporate handout, the guys who are willing to take a cut of the profits and everybody is off the hook, like at BAC. That sure aint the right.

Trump never "drove into bankruptcy". You are letting the liberal media brainwash you.
Trump NEVER filed for personal BK or ever went bankrupt. However, 3 of his casino's in Atlantic City filed for BK after Pennsylvania started to operate casino's which hurt not only Trump's businesses in AC, but All of them were negatively effected. The city itself is on the verge of a BK but this was not Trump's fault, it was due to new competition in neighboring Pennsylvania.Last edited by ridextreme; 03-15-2016 at 11:51 AM.

Trump may have had a lot of business duds but this guy is a consummate deal maker, relentless self promoter, risk taker and has balls the size of Atlantic City. He's on the verge of being the next President so he's doing something right.

To me Sanders is the worst case scenario, both for the country as a whole, and certainly for our industry.

Trump would do nothing to this little MCA world. Bernie would destroy it. Clinton do we want a murder in office?
And for some reason those who don't like politics don't have to click on this thread and read it.
Trump has some good business books.

for what its worth, trump may not wanna touch "this little mca world," but a willingness to do things like default on national debts or resist trade agreements (something he is both for), could easily annihilate the credit markets making this industry possible.

I agree that we should keep the focus of this Forum on issues related to our industry, but since the topic was brought up lol....I believe both parties have contributed significantly to the structural issues we face as a country. While they sit around and point the finger back at each other, both of these parties have been in control in some form or another and have helped create many of the issues we face as a country.
Every 4 years (or 2 years if you vote in every major election cycle) we as a country argue over a "Democrat" or a "Republican", both of which (from my viewpoint) have been bought and sold. I identify as an Independent and wish that these two parties didn't hold such a strong monopoly over the political process.Last edited by jotucker1983; 03-15-2016 at 11:31 PM.

This is why I believe speaking politics is essential. We all live in the same country and are all affected by politics, yet most of us don't want to speak about them leading to an overwhelming amount of countrymen who are "low information voters". Why is our country going down the road we are on? Because none of us want to talk about the only subject that controls where we go as a country as a whole.
Now, with that, I will say that in all manners, and especially politics, we must learn to communicate, discuss, and debate civilly with maturity and mutual respect. It is unfortunate that many of us allow ourselves to become emotionally charged while talking politics and it is our duty to police ourselves before the communication breaks down entirely. If that means staying out of the conversation completely, then so be it but I would hope that we can learn to talk like adults.
It's been mentioned before, you don't get to say what you want and then tell everyone else to stop talking. It's very close minded to speak your opinion and then attempt to make it the final word. If you're going to speak your opinion, listen to others. Conversely, if you truly don't wish to be part of a political discussion then your post should look more like this:
I will agree that this thread should probably be in the "Everything else" section. Not everyone wants to see or hear this but that's admin's job so I'll leave it at that.
I've always held this sentiment. I've never understood the need for our beautiful country to be ran by two parties that controlled everything. It is far too close to a monopoly, now more so than ever. I believe every elected official should be chosen for their merit, not for their commitment to vote for whoever their party leaders tell them to.

It's like our country is being ran by two competing unions. The union workers are those that feel that they wouldn't have a job without their union. They're insecure about their abilities to take a stand for the politics they believe in while maintaining their position.
