Sean- got a copy in the mail- nice job. Could become the green sheet of the alternative lending space. I liked the section with rianda and the unknown of doing ach and what could come about it from a legal standpoint. From a standpoint of loans and ach fixed dailys, I believe from a compliance standpoint there are only a few funders who have a chartered bank that allows this to occur without usury violations. Not much was mentioned about that but I think with time it will be more accepted as a standard for doing fixed daily or weekly repayments. When you study Utah banking laws for example, you learn how bank friendly that state is -

Thanks!! I think it's the question that has to be asked and answered before any meaningful conversation in this business about size and future projections takes place.
By the way, the amount of new subscribers signing up each day to receive future issues in print is incredible.Last edited by Sean Cash; 02-04-2014 at 11:48 AM.

That's awesome. Merchants are now getting an inside look at how the industry works too. Merchants are emailing people from the forum so I am assuming they're intrigued enough to sign up for the mag.
Would love to see how the numbers break down with respect to merchant sign ups. They're here - just don't know how many. Would love to talk to them via the Mag if the concentration is high enough.
Will these stats be available in future media kits?

I totally agree that Daily Funder was not meant for merchants.
I know my query sounds foolish, but I'm infinitely curious by nature and this case, I have reason to be. You see I only got curious after a two separate merchants reached out to me behind my "Write Letters... Oh Gosh No" via e-mail.
I figured; "if merchants will go out of their way to e-mail me, then maybe they've signed up for the mag out of curiosity if nothing more." It's in our nature to be "nosy" as people. One of the merchants actually bought my book - which clearly wasn't intended for them. Based on my exchanges with these folks, these look to be good - solid deals eventually. The type any funder would want.
I also know that print is the most effective medium for getting your message out so even though Daily Funder wasn't meant to target merchants - there may be some value there given what I anticipate to be the quality of lead.
Nonetheless, IMHO if you ad a little drop down menu; "I am a... Funding Company, ISO, or Business Owner" to your mag sign-up form, you'll get back some validated learning.Last edited by JayBallentine; 02-04-2014 at 02:48 PM. Reason: Typo

To everyone that hasn't gotten one yet, be patient
If you subscribed after Jan 12th (the subscription date cutoff for the 1st issue), please email me at sean@dailyfunder.com if you REALLY REALLY REALLY want one. We have several hundred extra copies in the office and we are overnighting some out on a limited basis.
If you are in Manhattan, come on down to 11 Broadway, 8th floor. We have plenty for you and any friends or co-workers that you wish to pick some up for.
