On the one hand, he absolutely did an amazing job, and bought a crapload of money into Yellowstone. But this brings back an issue I have with the industry. You have a ISO shop, who send the deal to Juan. Juan send the deal to one of the outside banks, call it BYOB. Now the ISO, Yellowstone, AND BYOB each make an announcement saying they funded a $100k deal. To the outside world it looks like $300k was funded that day. In reality, only $100k was funded. Until there are clear guidelines as to who takes credit for funding AND originating deals, I do not get overly excited about number announcements.
