$450K - $650k for franchise start up
Happy Thanksgiving everybody!
We have a broker that we do these types of deals with but would like to go direct with this one. Well qualified borrower. Waiting on the franchise approval which should be in next week. Will have final numbers soon but in the $500K range.
Anyone on this forum fund these deals in house?

Sorry J Johnson but golf is correct. If you want qualified responses you need to share some details. Clearly, don't give away client specific info but at least enough so that folks can self qualify (or disqualify) themselves. Some examples:
What is the franchise (no details, just a name)?
What State?
Do they own other franchises or is this their first time out?
Is this a start up or are they taking over an existing operation?
What does "well qualified borrower" mean?
What types of terms might be necessary to make this work?

Dan's right. You should at least layout the same information you would have given the broker.

Sorry guys I was just trying to get a tiny indication of interest on this type of deal. Let me try and dive deeper. However, mentioning franchise name and state would definitely give up my clients identity in this particular circumstance. It is a big name, and its average store sales are over $2MM with 35-40% margins. It is a start up location.
When I say qualified borrower I mean healthy personal finances, credit between 650-700, and he owns other franchises in the industry that are succesful. He is not new to the game by any stretch. He is looking for a 3-5 year term loan

You gave it away dude, It's ABC Franchising, LLC, opening their 8th Burger King at 3348 Bushard St, St. Louis MO. 800-555-6378 Ask for John Fry.
I just called him and got a deposit. Don't be so obvious next time.

We work with Franchises all the time... Golf and Dan are correct; without knowing specifics it's challenging to make suggestions on the best way to structure a transaction. I would be happy to discuss if you wish for some assistance..
