    motivating reads

So back when I was coming up as a young, wanna be hot shot I was suggested by my mentor at the time to read "The Magic of Thinking Big" by David Schwartz.

Game changer for me when I was 18/19 yrs old. I've since made every rookie that has come through my door read it and actually used to buy it by the dozen's to hand out in sales meetings.

Anybody else have their own motivator on sales, success, and inspiration? Some of these books really have the ability to get you pumped up!

I'm looking to dive my head into a few and thought this forum may have some good suggestions, thanks!

"The Genius in all of us" David Shenk
"How to Win Friends and Influence People" - Dale Carnegie
"Shantaram" - Gregory David Roberts - this one is based on his life with a few stretches of the truth but still fascinating

Believe it or not, Tony Robbins. You can see a lot of his stuff on You Tube, and he is an OG with common sense communication and sales techniques. Great training for a new salesperson on how to psychologically connect with a prospect, and good reminders of the fundamentals for the more senior people.

I haven't read that one, but I'll have to give it a try!

I went on amazon a few years ago and bought about a dozen sales books; I'll have to go pick that one up!

Im down with the "Self Help" books, but I also find a ot of empowerment in books that aren't designed as a typical "self help" book but have a great message. One book I left out that totally changed my life was "Chasing the Dragon" by Jackie Pullinger.
Little sotry behind that one, my best friend from High school died from drugs and his mom sent me that book, it was amazing changed my life, but when my ex moved out she took it and I couldn't find a copy anywhere so my wife wrote a letter to the author about my story and the author sent me a signed copy with a message of hope written on the inside. Coolest gift ever!
