    Pay Schedule

Just out of curiosity, what is the commission schedule for most in house reps?
How often do you get paid commissions:

    Weekly, Bi weekly or monthly?

Depends on the company, I have heard of some that pay the rep every time a deal funds, and still others who are on the 2X a month plan. Monthly would be tough on the reps especially at the beginning of their employment.

I think a lot of it has to do with the size of the company and their set up in terms of accounting etc.

Most of the companies I have worked for pay the following month for the prior month's fundings.

LOL that's great, never thought about it that way. Similar to the whole W2 taxes withheld being a "interest free loan to the government" (Credit for that goes to Chambo.

Here in California, almost every shop pays that way. Most shops in Cali have some sort of monthly bonus, so it helps manage the payroll for that... also it allows your syndication portfolio to generate enough interest income to pay the commissions for you.

To be clear, WBL does not pay this way, but most Cali shops do.

Hmm....that's very interesting. I can definitely see the upside for paying that way. However, if I am a new rep Im sweating out those first few months.

Yeah... it's basically one small check and one big check each month (assuming they pay 1st and 15th).
