We had a company looking to borrow a lot of $ against land. They own the land and are guaranteed 40% payback by the city upon completion of the project. Just wondering if anyone does asset based lending on land?

They claim it's worth $80 million and looking for basically a construction loan.

Hard Money Lender only, but they hate land. Nothing to proforma debt service. And they like clear exit strategy. Most don't believe in the lend to own mentality.

We lend in Kentucky. If they have a business we can lend to the business in Kentucky and use the land as collateral. We would need proof of how much they owe against the land and how much it's worth? If they don't have that information it would take us a few days to get it.
