Reporting Relationships
The BDMs in New York City and Chicago will report to the Director of Business Development | Eastern Region and will develop strong working relationships with the Sales team at BFS.

The Opportunity
BFS Capital is seeking Business Development Managers to be responsible for developing an assigned territory (New York/Chicago) and generating revenue through ISO recruitment and management. These BDMs will have a strong work ethic and a sales mindset. A hunter mentality with the ability to develop the relationships cultivated will be critical to success. The ideal candidates will be comfortable working independently, but also as part of a team.

Primary Responsibilities
The BDMs will:
• Proactively recruit and develop ISO partner relationships
• Communicate all BFS Capital funding programs, pricing and terms to ensure that each partner has the knowledge they need to be effective in relaying this information to their prospective customers.
• Prepare and plan for partner visits to include introducing new products, analyzing the types of deals the partner is sending us, solve any problems they may have and determining what we can do to get more funding volume sent to BFS Capital
• Develop account management plan to include business development strategies, revenue expectations and growth expectations. Review plan quarterly to track progress.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of all BFS Capital product offerings and processes
• Develop and maintain strong working relationship with ISO Managers to develop the partner revenue

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• A Bachelor’s degree; business, marketing, finance, sales focus a plus
• 3+ years business development experience in the alternative lending space or experience selling financial products
• Strong relationship building skills
• Ability to work independently, but also as part of a team
• Time management and organizational skills
• Personal accountability; willingness to track, document and report progress
• Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills, including fluent English and strong writing and reporting skills
• Ability to take instruction, multi-task and shift gears to meet new needs
• Desire to exceed expectations and produce results
