That article is floating around our offices too. Not the most flattering piece, I must say
I remember when the author reached out to me on Linked In, and I was wondering exactly how the piece would turn out....well....

But to say Chanin stole about $2 million form all his reps,....that part is accurate.
what a shame....this article doesn't do justice to the extent that Second Source ruled the industry. If Chanin had been just slightly more honest, it's unfathomable how big & strong Second Source would/could be today

Somebody is going to make a documentary or a full-featured film out of this I suspect, within the next couple of years.

For every one business of which an MCA put into Bankruptcy, there are literally thousands of businesses that were saved by the "high interest" cash advance, but the article only mentions one business who got stacked into BK by Pearl.

I for one love this! I don't know about you guys but I got into this industry to make $$$$$$$, and as a business owner I see this article as a success story. Im not saying I condone how they spend their money but who am I to judge, personally I wouldn't mind having two girlfriends fighting over the blinds.
If there is anything to take from this article its this “If you’re not making 20 grand a month, you just don’t belong here,”

Good for them for making it but why in the world would you invite a reporter into your personal life and start sharing these details? Do you really need the press that bad? Especially knowing that this reporter wrote ****ty articles about the industry....talk about naive. The media has absolutely no interest in ever writing about a "fair and balanced" article. What a shame, they couldn't just take their millions, blondes and whips and enjoy it amongst themselves and their close friends and family.

Does anyone know if this reporter has anything else cooking?

I have to agree with Alex.. These are not stupid guys, they had to know how any article about them and how they are now living would make the industry look. Apparently they are out and no longer care how the industry is perceived or what effect this can have on those of us are are still doing this. You would think they would have a little more care for an industry that apparently treated them very very well

Man, I was 20 Making 4-6K a week when I was at 2nd Source. Everyone always tries to slander them but Yankee and Meir gave me a job with basically no experience at all. I'm sure they did dirty, but people made lots of money at that company. Too bad they were consumed by greed. I learned the game and got out just in time.

yeah with a big red bow.. Shines a giant light on the whole industry and for what? So they can show everyone how good there life is now? Its a ****ty move on their part because now anyone who reads the article will think that is how everyone in the industry behaved and it is not. They are out and made their money so they dont care no more
