A couple of years ago when stacking first started, we had a gentlemanly conversation with Isaac and we have not had an issue since then. My opinion is Isaac and David are smart operators and take advantage of market dislocation and opportunities, but they distinguish between good business practices and bad. Can't say the same about a few others in the industry.

I never thought about the "adult" implications of my suggestion for renaming this thread. Other minds think differently...

Gentlemanly conversation meaning if you stack on me i will sue you? lol they freely admit they stack that is their business mdoel. so good business practice is that they will stack on anyone who cant sue them? and you are being critical of others?

Staten, is there a point here that you are trying to make? Did you get stacked on? If not, I don't know where your grudge is going.

Its strange that you would say Rapid "lets us Stack" because we actually have an agreement inplace NOT to STACK.

The way we have done business is this. Any company that contacts us and agrees not to stak us we agree not to stack them. Its the way to avoid companies cannabalizing each other.

However, if everytime we fund a deal the same 2 or 3 companies are stacking behind us, why would we not stack on them? It sets both companies up to lose money, but is necessary to avoid losing deals.

I think that the point J Brown was making , was missed. He is backing up what I said earlier, if we have stacked on a company and it caused a problem, they have come and talked to us and it was resolved (without Attorneys) over a drink or two and no further issues were experienced.

THAT IS THE YELLOWSTONE MODEL. There are plenty of deals to go around and there is no need for companies to cannabalize each other. When we work together it actually benefits all companies involved that are willing to play the game like Gentlemen and in my opinion J Brown is tops of the list along with Isaac and Dave and a few others.
