Want to Syndicate? or Need Syndicates?
The MCA industry is like this little bubble and everybody wants to get inside it. I'm sure most of the vets on this board are regularly approached by parties that are interested to share in the growth in one way or another. I know that I encounter a lot of new people in person, by phone, email, linkedin, etc. and I don't always have the answers that they want. So I need help from you all.
There are three things that I am frequently called on for:
1. Do I know any ISOs or Funders that are looking for syndicates? The folks asking are usually companies or individuals that don't originate deals themselves but want to invest their money into a pool to gain a lucrative return. They usually want to invest MILLIONS but most of the major players that operate on that level don't need random outside syndicates. But if you're a small funder or syndicating ISO, there may be an opportunity for you if you want a syndicate partner. With one, you can further diversify your own investments or so you can free up cash to put back into marketing and grow your brand. Problem is, i don't know who you are or if you're looking so PM me and let me know if bringing in syndication money is something you're interested in. You'll need to have a solid operation with a track record. No 1 or 2 man shops.
2. Do I know any MCA funder that is looking to raise capital?
Many of the small funders and ISO/funder hybrids have probably considered raising capital. The problem is, the companies looking to invest are usually dead set on investing $10 million plus. I don't know why there's no middle ground in this business, but perhaps if there was a much smaller opportunity out there that I definitely knew about, these investors would consider them. The problem again is that I don't know who you are or if you're looking so PM me and let me know if raising capital is on your agenda. When the next investor chats me, I'll pass your info along.
3. Do I know any experienced underwriters, sales people, or C level execs that are immediately available for hire?
If you have MCA sales or underwriting experience, there are 989,845,977,593,485,034,574,095,747,345,783,405 companies looking to hire you. This has to be something I am asked about several times a day. If you have experience, don't suck, and are looking for work in NY (city and LI), NJ, FL, CA, MI, DE please let me know. I'm not saying I'll personally recommend you, but I can least put you in touch with funders and ISOs.
So hopefully you all can help me out.
Also, if you want to join the Merchant Cash Advance industry fantasy football league, please let me know asap. Heather at Merchant Cash Group and I plan on sending out an email with details in the very near future. E-mail me at sean@merchantprocessingresource.com.

Want to Syndicate? or Need Syndicates?
Be extremely careful which companies you syndicate with, not all of them have the right intentions

If you are going to syndicate SFS had been doing it the longest and is the safest. Capital stack recently came out with an awesome syndication portal!

I agree with both points Isaac, but does SFS need syndication capital from random people that aren't ISOs?

I would not say need...they have all the capital they could ever want...they do offer syndication to some outsiders but its mostly for their business partners

I'm interested in organizing an MCA co-ed softball league for people in the NYC area. You need to have a little athletic ability. Anyone interested?

I'd love to play but I am perpetually out of shape. I was on the original merchant cash and capital softball team back in '07 or '08 whenever it was and I tore my quad so bad in the 2nd game that I had to walk with a cane for almost 3 months. lol

This is what you get when you look up an image with scotch pong. Gosh - looks similar to someone here, although not as buff as this fella.Last edited by Duvdevan; 08-05-2013 at 02:31 PM.

If you hire Chambo to be your personal trainer, you can get your forearms to look like that by New Year's.

Shouldn't have said that Sean, he may tell you to share some of the revenue from the website. Btw, I meant to say, Mr. Chambo!

lol yup. Chambo's one of the good guys. He's gone the distance, seen the best and worst, and doesn't BS merchants on the phone.

That's for sure. One of the few guy's around that didn't feel it was necessary to charge his merchants closing costs.
