    Trigger Leads

    Hello everybody,

I have a couple thousand trigger leads. That means when a merchant has an advance out and it is almost ready for a renewal. PM me if you are interested.

Is this a nice way of saying you have aged UCC's?

exactly. triggers for this industry do not exist. I have researched this extensively. Durbin does not allow for this in our industry because of privacy issues.

Sean, maybe our understanding of trigger leads are different. When i was in the mortgage world I would get leads emailed to me everytime someone had their credit pulled by experian/equifax by a competing mortgage company/bank. I contacted the credit bureaus to see if they can do the same thing when a MCA company pulls the credit, their response was no. What type of triggers are you referring to?

You are correct credit reporting agencies like experian/equifax are consumer-based not business-based and do not have the ability to provide Business Triggers You must work with a firm that has relationships with business credit databases, financial institutions and companies that handle business-credit transactions.

Not only that, credit agencies generally don't sell that data directly to just anyone, for liability reasons. There are other commercial institutions that do sell business trigger data. They are not the same as auto or real estate triggers which are consumer based.

They also don't "fire off" the same way as consumer triggers, which makes the process of finding them different.

They show the month/year they were funded. They range from 6/14 to 11/14

Sounds like you have a list of UCC's. Definitely a lot different than trigger leads.

Sounds like you walked off with your former employer's database. Definitely a lot different than trigger leads or UCC's.

I had a company approach me telling me that they have a "streamline source" of commercial lenders that give him data on merchants who are maxed out on their bank line of credit along with trigger leads(which don't exist in this space). Never went with them because it sounded like a bunch of B.S.....kinda like this post.
