GBR Not to be outdone...
Now has a "Premier" deal and a "Premier PLUS" deal....up to 15 points (though only paid 100% on the first 12 points)
It is the renewals that get me though. 60% commish on renewal (that's cool), but only paid on the net? I know another company that does that and wonders why folks aren't renewing

the par pricing model has been brought up a number of times by isos with funders who offer them. on the new commission, it works well as you get a par pricing rate over terms allowed, and, can upsell accordingly to close your deals and get your comm all upfront, but, on renewals, if you are being reduced by 30-50% on renewals, and, you are not in control of renewing the deal yourself, you are leaving the renewal up to the renewal dept. to determine your future revenues. it may be worth a negotiation initially on agreement to put a threshold commission % on renewals you would be willing to accept and any rates sold by renewals, regardless of term rate, would pay you that commission level. it is very common for merchants to expect a lower rate and better deal on renewals, so, having a reduction in renewals makes sense, to some extent. there is a fair way to do this pricing system.

It is all relative to rate. The companies out there paying on the full renewal are typically charging a higher factor rate than us and we are discounting the outstanding balance so the merchant is not paying double interest. We are paying 12 points upfront on a lower rate than most of the other guys out there. Call me for more details. 678.813.4727.

I don't think GBR gets as much credit as they should for the amount of big deals they fund. They're doing these million dollar sized deals for a lot more companies than just Yellowstone and they've been around for a long time.
I still refer to them as Greystone Business ResourcesLast edited by Sean Cash; 07-31-2013 at 04:59 PM.
