Press 1s - You're doing it wrong
Hey, whoever it is, and maybe it's a few of you, you need to cool it with the Press 1 campaigns that are out of control. I am getting calls on my cell phone twice a day asking if I want a cash advance or business loan and the callers will never tell me who they work for. It is also happening to my friend's cell phones (who don't own businesses) who have asked me if this is the same industry that I work in.
If you google the phone #s they call from, there are huge lists of complaints from people saying they are being bombarded on their home phones and cell phones about business loans.
I know press 1s are a form of marketing but if you don't know how to screen out home phones and personal cell phones, you're asking for trouble.
Pressing 9 doesn't even take me off the list.

Couldn't agree mor here...Business owners are truly getting sick and tired of these phone calls. I have merchants saying they get 10+ automated phone calls per day.
If your going to imply this method you need to follow the rules of the Do Not Call Registry

To further Sean's point if you are calling numbers on the Do Not Call list you are subjecting yourself to a fine of $11,000 per call.
Here is a link to see how the FTC has already collected 74 million from abusers:

Always be sure to buy phone numbers scrubbed against the DNC to be safe.
Also check your state laws on ROBO Dialers to make sure you aren't opening yourself up to fines and penalties.Last edited by Lenders.Marketing; 01-21-2015 at 04:56 PM.

If you buy data from a quality data company you are not going to have cell phone and home phone numbers on the list. However there are some work at home businesses that use their home number for both and that is a different story.

Business-to-Business Calls:
Most phone calls to a business made with the intent to solicit sales from that business are exempt from the Do Not Call provisions.
That being said if you are really interested in a campaign that is not a press 1 just ask the agency for their SAN #

I get these too more frequently within the past month or so. When asked their location they say FL. When I informed I am a broker and I'm looking for a dialer campaign like this if I could speak with their boss they say no.
