I get emails daily from "lead" guys and backdoor clowns. I think they continue to just try because every now and then someone takes a chance and just gets burned. Hope that is not the case for you but I would imagine sticking to reputable people is best, this post being an example.

Hopefully you paid with a cc so you can call them and let them know it was fraud and have the charge reversed. Waiting over a week for leads you paid for is a big red flag.

this is a odd space where the leads have to adjust to the whims of funders. If something doesnt fund its the lead fault but that same lead funded with another lender the next week maybe even the lender who declined it first.
