    As a write this a buddy of mine just got turned down by metropolitan when he told them that he planned on using the account to FUND

    Optimum Bank is a small bank based out of South FL that specializes in working with MCA lenders. They were at the Funders Forum event.

    have heard thru the grapevine that svb is still pretty hands off when it comes to the industries they provide banking to

    Optimum for sure too

    I forgot to mention Optimum, but only because I haven't used them yet. Tons of funders are using them, and from what I hear they're pretty pro-MCA.

    When it comes to small banks, it may be worthwhile taking 5 minutes to look at their financial statements and figure out if they have high exposure to a single asset class such as CRE. This should only be an issue if you plan on having 250K or more on hand....

    I met the Optimum guys ..seems like even the chairman of bank is very hands on..as per the exposure topic -- will leave it to the Zalmans of the world to guide the industry...

    Unless I'm reading this wrong, they've got a 62% exposure to commercial real estate.... Good bank and good people but this is a risk factor that should not be ignored.
