This might increase the cost of entry, which has an advantage and disadvantage. It bars entry for dirty scam brokers but also new brokers will have way to join since they don't have a 6-figure ad-spend budget. Maybe more larger shops will hire the smaller ones going out of business?

Michael I always has good insights into these things, what do you think?

This will thin the heard for lead gen companies and lead buyers.

Buying aged data is not a viable long term way to grow your business. Consent will be important, by 2025 i expect to see a dozen different initiatives/laws around data brokers, lead gen and buyers.

The days of being a broker from your home will be tougher and tougher, only the big boys will be able to weather the change

Theres a Must delete law in California thats a $500 fine per incident, and 3 others have already copied it.

It's inevitable. CPA is going to go up and brokering is going to become more of a volume game. I bet a lot of brokers do not have a speed-to-lead strategy because most don't use real-time leads. Some real-time leads have gone up over 100% in the last 2 years and something like this will make them much more expensive.
If you told all brokers that you need to spend 180k more in salaries plus 3x your lead budget to maintain 90% of your previous revenue, how many would close up shop & join a bigger shop or look for another industry?

bigger issue is the large shop rely on tech and even if they have all the consents the platforms are just going to keep giving them problems and throw them off . while the small shops will just text from their cell phones manually and the scam shops will figure out some roundabout way of doing it .
led gen companies in mca space better start finding different verticals as they will be first to go
