Hoping to get your guys' feedback

We were trying to find a solution that connected us with our leads via phone the minute they open an e-mail. As you know, services exist that automate a call when someone fills out a form on your website. However, being able to connect with people within moments of them consuming our information is sound conversion optimization science. To our knowledge this service doesn't exist so we're building it...

    Example:

You: "We see you just (viewed video, read PDF, clicked link) is this a good time to go over questions."

Them: "Wow how did you know!"

While this solution will certainly solves a particular pain point of us, I was curious to know if this would be useful to any other folks in this industry before I convince Jay to put it out as an enterprise solution. I've been inspired by "ReWork" and according to that book it would be a mistake for us to build this, keep it to yourself, and not make every dollar we can off it if it helps guys make money.

    Thanks for your feedback!

I don’t think that is the initial response you'll end up with when you call someone the instant they open your email. I think your call would irritate and or scare them.

    ?
Studies shows that contacting online prospects as soon as possible leads to higher conversion

I'm sure business owners don't find reps pounding UCC lists irritating at all.

We have a similar setup where I'm at. Every time someone registers for a free trial at one of our websites a sales rep on our end receives an email instantly and they are to call that person instantly. I have been doing this for 10 years and I rarely find anyone excited to talk right then. If I wait 30 min to an hour they are more receptive.

Now you asked for feedback and that is what I am providing you. Also I don’t know what UCC lists have to do with your post or this thread.

Yeah, this seems a bit creepy, but no more so than...

"I see you recently took money from Golden Handcuffs Cash advance....we are so much cheaper!"

It would work if you offer them something of value, without pitching them a sale, and then got on the phone with them to continue to offer that value. Then eventually you can move into what you're offering, because you've created the perception in their mind that you are an asset to them, breaking down any sales barriers. If your email is a sales pitch and your call is a sales pitch, this will be no different then cold calling.
