The answer to your question is predicated on context, I'll outline all contextual scenarios below so you can reference what category your personal situation is applicable to.

Scenario #1 - If you're bringing in External Leads Outside of your Company:

-If you're being paid a salary, the industry standard split would be between: 30-40%, depending on salary compensation level

-If you're being paid a draw, the industry standard would be between: 40-50%

-If you're full commission, the industry standard would be between: 50-75%, although 60%+ is an extrinsic circumstance and will be determined on the basis of your performance. If the entirety of your revenue cultivation derives from external data and you aren't actively producing revenue from in-house data, or the results of your in-house data performance are infinitesimal compared to your external lead performance, you'll fall in the 50% category with low likelihood of it being anything higher than that. If your performance on in-house data is consistent and you derive external data along the way, that's where your basis to pursue a 60%+ split is adequate.

Scenario #2 - If you're Solely Working In-House Marketed Data:

-If you're being paid a salary, the industry standard split would be between: 20-35%, depending on salary compensation level

-If you're being paid a draw, the industry standard split would be between: 25-40%, if 25%, this would quickly be bumped to 30%+ if you consistently cover the proceeds of your draw with revenue production.

-If you're full commission, the industry standard split would be between: 35-50%

Overall, the determination regarding whether an employees commission split falls toward the lower yield or ascends to the higher yield resides in their overall performance over a long formatted time frame (One Year+). If you're new to the company, lower yield is indefinite until ascension is earned.
