Sadly, you're probably right. But there's no saving those people. I'm just posting it for the people who are equally appalled by this nonsense, and who may be currently employing this person.

forgive my ignorance here but is the idea of this that the original ISO who submitted the deal is asking too many points on it and she's looking to shop the deal to another ISO who will work it for less?

Is it that the original ISO can't close the offered deal?

Is it that the OP can't fund the deal and wants to split a commission if a new ISO can get it funded and closed elsewhere?

    What's the play here?

We have nothing to do with this person. They sent us a cold email soliciting for places to send deals she is backdooring from her employer.

OnTheRopes: She works for somebody and submits the deals to funders. However, she is using her Protonmail to find a broker or funder who will pay her directly, rather than her main shop where she gets a split with the house. That's called a backdoor in the industry. She wants to make better money by being extremely up-front about her theft, that's all.

No, you're way off, not even close. A processor, probably someone making close to minimum wage, is stealing fresh applications from her employer and selling them for a profit.
