    Opening a shop, lead sources?

Hey long story short, I wanted to see what types of leads are really working for everyone. I’m planning on opening a shop, I am currently work for a company but I realized that I am most likely better off getting an office, hiring 2 callers, a secretary, and just going from there. I want great leads and or lead generation methods. Also, I’m aiming for about 600-700k funded a month with great leads and 2 callers,3 including myself.

What kind of budget are you looking to spend monthly ?

  3. #3
Well I was thinking to get my office and everything, for my lead source to START, my budget would be at around 5k maybe more if its worth it. I’m not greedy at all, if I spend more and it gives me better results I don’t mind spending more at all.

That's to low to do any of your own marketing. You best off buying third party decent data( .50 -$1a piece )and hitting the phones .
    Best of luck

$5K per month for leads or your complete office budget?

Your budget is your budget. Best leads will always be self generated. However from experience I can tell you the min. You need to spend on Facebook is about 10k a month and Google is about 15k a month .
Take your 5k split it into 3 and try out 3 different lead vendors and see which one works best for you.
Very important to have it all tracked

5k for leads of course, it seems like that’s kind of low according to Michael. I’ll probably raise it.

What state are you located ? I've recently recommended my ISO's in states like Texas and florida and other parts of America (wont work in nyc) to hit the road and go into merchants (has worked for credit card processing for decades) well guess what its been paying off....either merchants say outright no need or they say Thank God you came IN today ..... many merchants will not reply to lead or dial-in but when you come in person and know your product (which most brokers can do a great job explaining) it pays-off. especially if you go to the tracks were there large warehouse businesses are located --- I've had guys hit 400K Scrap metal businesses from going door to door --- try the construction firms which can hit 80K-500K Door2door works!!!

I have an associate who ONLY generates his own leads using a combination of UCC filings, linkedin, & things like fastpeoplesearch& buzzfile.
He only aims for the type of merchants you're looking for & with bigger companies like that, its really about how you approach the owner and the options you can provide them. Cold calling guys like that really doesn't convert very well.
No need to spend huge $$ on "recent applications"...unless you have a very trustworthy source.....theres a reason all these "fresh app packages" find their way to a bunch of brokers!

Its all about spending hours per week evaluating different marketing strategies (thats an ISO's "ONLY" business!) -- They are out there -- I have little ISO's in Kentucky and Utah that have mastered the game and send the cleanest freshest merchants.

I live in jersey, currently working in new york so I don't think it won't work but I also don't think it will work as efficiently as the guys in Texas, etc.

You are going to need a good tech foundation to manage all those leads and to run the business. Give us a look.

UCCs Always work but you can use any business directory just don't Do Robo calls.
Meridian leads is not bad for UCC's & Trigger leads and you can even use the phone book if your guys are hungry and target anyone paying to advertise their business...
PPP Lists are free and one of my reps was a beast at lead gen using google using the ""' and Industry key words

Digital billboards could be an effective lead-generation method for your shop. With digital billboards, you can reach a large audience in high-traffic areas, increasing the visibility of your shop and attracting potential customers. I've used them for my online shop, and they might work well for you, too.
In terms of cost, I paid around $0.10 per play for my digital billboard ads. While this may vary depending on factors like location and time slot, it's generally an affordable option compared to traditional advertising methods.
I used Blindspot to place the ads. They have access to billboards worldwide, giving you the flexibility to target specific locations where your target audience is likely to be. It's simple to use: register, choose the billboard, upload the ad, and place it.
