Our deals are performing since we do not over leverage the merchants and if they are already over leveraged or close to it we decline the file. And we push first positions since we do not refinance the old balances on them and work like a line of credit of sorts.

If you stick to your box and it works for you, they should be performing on pace as usual. Once a funder gets too excited and starts leveraging over 35-40%++ then you'll see some new trends in your default rate. We like to cap out at 35% and not pass 4th positions. Again, it really depends on your guidelines, the same method doesn't work for everyone. We've tried and failed before we finally got a lock on our working guide and stuck from there on.

Having quality ISO's is also a key factor in keeping your book clean, we've had a large volume of ISO terminations in the past 4 months because of new trends and tricks the new and young brokers think is a good growing method for them but ultimately its just a short sighted play by most of them.
