Very Tricky Deal
We have a client located in South Africa that is seeking a term loan from a U.S. lender. The company is seeking $2M, and one-half of that amount has been obtained from their current bank. The reason they are seeking a U.S. lender is that the interest rates in South Africa are apparently very high.
Background: The company sells Auto Appearance Products, and was started (17) months ago. They have been awarded the authorized distributors of Hot Wheels Premium Car Products and Autoguard manufactured in the United States by Americana Pro and will be sold in the Auto Zone stores in South Africa.
They are currently supplying a national retail group of retail stores called Game Retail Stores, part of the Walmart group. There is no company debt, and the funds would be used to purchase the products, expansion of the business, and marketing.
Finally, while the company is an established entity, they are as mentioned above, located in South Africa which presents a number of obstacles.

Thanks for the information, but apparently the South Africa banks have very high interest rates.
