Trucking for the Foreseeable future will be extremally difficult to predict winners from losers. There is a time again when trucking will come back strong to its glory days ---can be sooner (elections) or later......

Trucking is a industry that will always be needed so it will always be here. For the foreseeable future finding deals for the smaller companies with 2 or less trucks and poor daily balances will be harder than usual.
With gas prices raising and the cost to fix the the trucks when they break down and waiting on parts it puts a strain on the business and this is why a lot of funders are not touching trucking right now or restricted the terms. My company will still fund trucking as long as they have a t least 3 trucks keep strong daily balances of at least 5% of what they deposit monthly and have descent credit. We are capping the terms at 6 months for all size trucking companies for now. Doing it this way they can renew every 3 months or so and we do not refinance the balance on a first position so they can use us kind of like a line of credit.

We do ALOT of trucking at CFG. Its not the best industry but if they have factoring in place they are ok. Rev needs to be decent, Credit ok, Balances ok. 20k+ min rev per month please.

Capitalize funds trucking every single day. It's a tough industry and does require a little more care when underwriting.
We need them to have at least two trucks or more to avoid - "my truck is in the shop and there's no rev coming in for the next three months"
