Strong Disagree. Just follow the laws, be a decent human, treat your clients right and you can do this forever. There is nothing wrong helping the underbanked get funding. There is nothing wrong purchasing their receivables. There is nothing wrong for brokers getting paid for their work. Their is nothing wrong with funders earning interest for their risk.

If you or anyone is going to be a bad actor there is plenty of bad sh*! to do in MCA. But there is plenty of bad to do in any industry. Bernie Madoff... do we ban all hedge funds?

Just treat everyone right and you'll be able to make a lot of money for a long time in this or any business.

Preach. Better yet regulate the industry & make regulation cost 50k+ to enter this industry. The industry will get better overnight.
