Because I would feel safe in assuming a knowledgeable corporate business prospect would question a financial services individuals legitimacy presenting himself with a free email account for communication.

We live in a day and age where legitimacy means everything. The amount of exposure (not in the form of advertising/marketing) that appears daily is so accessible to the common person, that its making them more aware and cautious. Anyone nowadays can search your name, website, email, or phone number with the words "Scam" or Fraud" after it and maybe find something. Credible or not, that risk will always be out there.

I have a conversation with the prospect and ask many questions. My level of expertise pretty much makes it clear to them of my level of knowledge of loan products and how one or more can help their business. The email address is the last thing that I tell them when I advise them I'm sending them a package to be on the lookout for steveprobiz@gmail.com....it is easy for them to remember.
