Industry Slowdown?
Does anybody feel like the industry slowed down since December? Wonder if it's the SBA loans.

Covid-19 Restrictions (Lock-Downs) are still affecting many businesses. Plus, we compete against the big funders such as Square.
Interesting article on DeBanked recently, Square funded in the range of $594M - Q3-2021 - 83,000 Loans - Quick math, that break down to around $7K per loan.Dave Lambert, Business Development

Not sure about MCAs.... Factoring/ABL: Q1 typically starts off slow as everyone is busy closing prior year books and preparing for the new year. 2022 has started off busier than usual for me. Many who benefited greatly from PPP have utilized a good portion if not all of the funds. Most of the larger deals on my desk are from companies seeking cost effective liquidity. They are replacing bank LOCs because many are reluctant to increase lines or they are replacing an expensive non-bank relationship with a more cost effective factoring or ABL solution. Borrowing for all of my clients increased dramatically since Q2 of 2021 and some are borrowing more than they did pre-Covid.

I feel like its picked up since the holidays. If anything December was a slower than normal month for me, hoping it continues to climb.

It appears we have a major slowdown in the industry, overcapacity.
