Just an observation......
I have been a participant and reader of this forum for a few years..... Is it just me or do some of you notice there seems to be a LOT of fairly new members or unrecognizable firms promoting they can fund deals over $1Mil. Hell, I have seen some boasting they can fund over $10Mil.
There are a lot of funders that have been around for years that will not write a check over $1Mil.

I previously worked for a direct lender (5 years) that could do $2M. Now have private funds that can do up to a $ Billion. Files I get, I usually decline. Most of my guidelines require 20% capital contribution (some can be less) and POF and they usually fail.

Steve,
We are a 30Bil asset institution and our hold is $50mil on our own. We bring in eager partners on larger deals. I would love to know how someone who used to write $2Mil checks can now write $1Bil. Hell, some of the largest money center banks and private funds are NOT stoking $1Bil checks on there own.Kevin Henry
