    Lightbulb Example - Lead Generation

    This is a nice example of of company using social media to generate leads.

    **Disclaimer - I have no connection to this company and we were not involved in setting up this campaign.
    I'm just using this as an example of 1 method to generating in-house leads.

    That Post & Page as Zero Engagement to speak of. Doesn't appear to be a campaign on any level. Therefore it has almost no value. Cool Logo though!

    Says it has been up for 1 Day. No engagement after 1 Day would be a fail especially on LinkedIn as the engagement algorithm determines the reach. That appears to be just a standard post, not a paid campaign initiative. Either way its not a good example trying to generate leads or anything other than a cool logo.

    Some people will not "like" or comment on someone's post because they don't want others (their competition) seeing their reaction. If you pay attention to how many view you post and monitor who monitored it is very helpful. Example: Yesterday I posted about a SFNet event coming up in May. Only 3 people liked the post, but it was viewed by over 500 people within 3 hours. I have access to see what top 15 companies viewed the post. Some where people I am not connected to. They saw the "like" from one of my connections and viewed the post. By the way....that person registered for the event. It's not always about the amount of "likes". It's about who is viewing the content and what actions they are taking.

    Another cool thing to do...... Pay attention to your competitors posts. A couple of months ago one of my expensive factoring competitors posted some industry specific content. One of their customers "liked" the content and commented. Me being Me reached out to their customer for introductions. I closed their transaction a couple of weeks ago .

    Dave, 3M is a Recognized Brand - they also have over 1,000,000 Million Followers. They have a clear call to action. Their insights on the post most likely has an extreme amount of click throughs. Your example has none of those as they have 0 Followers and most likely 0 click throughs. Your post was about Lead Generation, which didn't use this 3M as an initial example. The 3M Example is great. Your Original One, is Not.

    i did not realize you are a mind reader -- it was an example of someone using linkedin -

    attempting to generate leads - kudos to the guy/company who made the ad!

    And on one knows what results either ad is generating.
