How governments handle #COVID:
(1) Exaggerate the risk
(2) Create mass fear
(3) Gain control
(4) Pacify with masks
(5) Virus starts to go away
(6) Create more fear with case reporting
(7) Regain control
(8) Pacify with hopes for a vaccine
(9) Virus ends, and people forget...

I can't believe that this has been going on for 6 months and people still don't get what this virus is and how it spreads. It is probably THE biggest reason it is not contained in the US.

It has been going on for nearly 9 months. Covid-19 is a serious cold/flu/virus (whatever name you want to use) - A person will be very sick for 2 weeks + ,
then another 2 weeks to recover. Then back to living and work/play.
The latest from the CDC - makes sense out of the latest GUIDELINES!
If you have been in close contact (within 6 feet) of a person with a COVID-19 infection for at least 15 minutes but do not have symptoms: You do not necessarily need a test unless you are a vulnerable individual or your health care provider or State or local public health officials recommend you take one.
Solution for all: Turn off CNN - stop listening to all the people claiming the world is ending - and get on with life.
If you get sick, stay home, drink plenty of fluids, have a comfortable pillow (you will be sleeping a lot) - see you in 3 weeks.Dave Lambert, Business Development

Ummm... I don't get my information about COVID from CNN. I actually get it from healthcare professionals that are working on the front line. I think I will continue with the precautions I have been taking by listening to them. Perhaps more should do the same and we can get back to a normal life/economy quicker. This will not be over in 3 weeks so you can go back to work/play.

This whole thread is a sample of why we are at 180k dead going to 300k by end of year.
We arent sweden, we dont have the same behaviors or setups. no country has the same result as another with the same policies.
FDA just fired 2 people cause of the poor job they did, CDC backtracking on testing changes to asymptomatic, etc...
Herd immunity strategy would result in a 1 million deaths.

If you have any belief in numbers
17,000,000 have recovered world-wide.

COVID is a sad virus that turned into a myth.
Fact is masks don’t help (because in the end look at the numbers)
Social distancing/ lockdown/ shutdown doesn’t help (did it help? Didn’t we shut down?)
Cat is out of the bag, on the ship, ship has sailed.
Now please stay safe, and if you’re sick make sure the hospital staff doesn’t kill you (due to crazy idiotic hype and CNN myths).
It is what it is! Unfortunately

The USA has brought its excess death rate for August 25 in the negative territory!
Can we please now focus on saving people's mental health and send kids back to school like normal and get PCR testing to be less sensitive and more accurate to focus ONLY on those who are a risk to infect others?
