Theres an entire Industry based on this.
People buy up Domain Names.....hoping to resell them back to company later on.
You can buy up domains before..... or if they let it lapse, someone snatches it up and basically force you to buy it back from them.

***This famously happened to a huge company not too long ago, Cant remember who.
