Me personally? I couldn't care less how many of each there are, nor have I really sat down to speculate. All I can say is that I've been saying this industry was over saturated since 2016 and it feels like anyone who's ever funded a deal in the last 3 years is a "direct funder" these days.

Are you counting a funder that can wire a pizza shop 15K ? than the count number is very high!!. If you talking about a group that not only makes millions a day in offers but is ready willing and able to then fund 1M+ in deals on a typical Wednesday should those contracts come back in --then the number of funders goes down to a very small box ---

Again, I dont think you call someone a general contractor based on erecting a shed.... I agree they pop up but i get calls from ISO's always seeking to find contacts at these pop-up funders (renewals or payoffs and hope i happen to be able to help) and usually they end up having better luck of getting in touch with the lost and found department of the 2002 Salt Lake City winter Olympics!
