NEW YORK, Oct. 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Newtek Business Services, Inc. NASDAQ: NEWT, The Small Business Authority®, with a portfolio of over 100,000 business accounts, announced today the findings of its SB Authority Market Sentiment Survey, a monthly window into the concerns of independent business owners. Barry Sloane, Chairman, President and CEO of The Small Business Authority® commented, "Over the course of the life of their business, most clients need to borrow money very few times - so the majority response to our first question is not totally surprising. However, when we asked the second question about needing capital for growth, it is somewhat surprising as it depicts a business environment that is still lacking the confidence and the will to borrow and be forward thinking about a robust economy or satisfying additional demand for their products. Hopefully, for the small business owner and the economy, this will change in the near future."

1300 respondents and they make a sweeping conclusion that 89% of businesses don't need capital. LMAO. Newtek Business Services, Inc., "the small business authority", is about as much as of an authority on business capital needs as I am on the mating habits of west African chimpanzees. The fact of the matter is that every business can use additional capital. It is up to the salesperson to understand how a capital influx will benefit a particular business and then pass that information to the merchant in a meaningful way.

Even if it's true that 89% of businesses don't need capital to "expand, advertise, or purchase inventory", I know that around 20-30% of businesses need capital to catch up on payables. That's where MCA companies come in.

1,300 businesses, that is no gauge for the 14 mm business in the US alone, some people are idiots when they think such a small segment speaks for the masses

How many of those 93% lied because they're too embarrassed to admit being turned down by a bank?
