Underwriter / Credit Investigator Needed:


Commercial finance company on Long Island is currently seeking an Underwriter with Cash Advance industry experience to join the company’s underwriting team.
Summary of the Position
• Underwrite cash advances and business loans in accordance to company guidelines
• Analyze data including business financials, bank statements, credit card statements and credit reports
• Determine credit worthiness and approval amounts
• Must have ability to communicate, in both written and verbal forms, factors in underwriting decisions
• Evaluate and provide recommendations for policy exceptions
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree (Finance, Economics or Business related) - preferred
• Strong analytical and intuitive investigative skills
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret business financials
• Must be detailed oriented with solid financial analytical skills
• Must be able to successfully pass a background check to include criminal and credit check
• Must have minimum 1-3years experience in cash advance or loan underwriting
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in oral, written, or schedule form.
